Third Party: (Offers protection only for the damage incurred to other people or property)

IDV: Insured declared value
Insured declared value is the upper limit of the compensation that you would receive in case of damage repair, theft or total loss under a comprehensive plan. This value is fixed by the insurance company based on the condition of your bike

NCB: No claim bonus
Insurance companies reward you with a no-claim bonus (NCB) on not filing a bike insurance claim during the policy term.

-You need to inform the two-wheeler insurance company as early as possible after an accident.
-Insurance companies may advise taking your bike to a preferred garage. In case only a non-network garage is accessible you may be reimbursed later. After approval, the two-wheeler would be repaired
-If someone else is injured due to your vehicle or his vehicle or property is damaged, and a third-party claim is to be made, a MCR(Motor Collision Report) must be filed in the nearest police station
-File an FIR at the earliest and inform the insurance company in case of theft.

A comprehensive insurance policy gives you extensive coverage for your own as well as third-party damages, on the other hand third-party Bike Insurance is mandatory by law, it offers only basic coverage.

There are a number of factors that determine the premium of your insurance policy such as the IDV of the two-wheeler, its cubic capacity, the add-on covers selected, etc.
